Another...."Huh"? Moment: Nicki Minaj Calls Idol Job a Milestone For Black Women

YMCMB's self-proclaimed Barbie, Nicki Minaj, is quite proud of her new judge spot on American Idol. She recently linked up with MTV News to discuss her newest gig and what it means to young black women.

"It's a milestone for me, it's a milestone for hip hop, it's a milestone for young black women," proclaimed Minaj. "Has there ever been a black woman judging on the show? This is a show that 20 million people watch so I feel like we should be represented on that show and I'm very proud of my decision to do it."

Minaj admitted that she had a few reservations about taking the job, but in reality, who can pass up $12 million? It will be interesting to see how Nicki meshes with her fellow superstar judges, such as Keith Urban and Mariah Carey.
