C'mon....Uh....Man?: Connecticut Man Pulls Out Gun After Being Denied Entrance Into “Ladies Night” Event

Police in Connecticut arrested a man who pulled out a gun inside a Red's Café after he was denied entrance into the bar because of “ladies night.” Sean Peterson, of New Haven, argued with a bar employee who told him that he was not allowed in the area of the venue because he was a man.

Rather than taking the diss in stride, Peterson revealed his gun, at which point the police were called.

When they arrived, the 38-year-old reached into his pocket before swearing at officers and attempting to get away. He was of course tackled, and had a knife confiscated during what authorities called a “violent struggle.”

Peterson may have been stopping at the location to get some drinks before participating in other activities, since a black ski mask was found alongside the a .41 caliber Smith & Wesson model 657 Magnum revolver in his pocket.

Police arrested Peterson, who was also served with an outstanding warrant. He was charged with criminal possession of a revolver without a permit, second-degree threatening, plus interfering with police— and all because he couldn't leave well enough alone.
