Coming From Someone Who Doesn't Pay Producers?:
Lil Wayne has filed a lawsuit against Quincy Jones III, claiming that Jones violated copyright after using a number of Weezy's tracks without authorization in a documentary. According to TMZ, all of the songs used were taken from Wayne's album "Tha Carter III". The tracks include "Lollipop," "Let the Beat Build," "A Milli" and "Dontgetit". The Young Money front man contends that he never gave Jones or QD3 producers clearance to use the tracks, nor did they ask permission.
Reports also say that Lil Wayne agreed to have cameras follow him, and he was initially down to film the 2009 documentary. But he later filed suit over the film in what he called a "scandalous portrayal" of his image. He was counter-sued at that point as well.
It is said that Lil Wayne is suing for unspecified damages and seeking an injunction that will prevent producers from using his music.
