Lil Wayne's "Straight up, I don't like New York," comments haven't sat too well with many of his fans nor his peers. A lot of people felt disrespected by Weezy's statement, as he has many fans as well as fellow artists who are from New York. Brooklyn native, Fabolous, even made a song after Wanye made those comments called "So NY" where Fab spits, "I'm so New York, Weezy probably don't like me."
MTV caught up with Weezy recently and asked him what he thought of the reaction he's gotten after stating he doesn't like New York, including his reaction to Fab's record. According to Wayne, he hasn't even heard any reactions regarding his statements, nor has he heard Fabolous' "So NY" song. However, Wayne did state that he could care less what others thought about what he said.
"I don't even know the reaction, but if I knew the reaction I would be able to answer that question. I just say what I want to say, do what I want to do and f*ck who don't like it."
