Mike Tyson will be testing off his acting skills in a forthcoming episode of Law & Order SVU.
Tyson will play the role of a murderer.
The former boxing champion has been cast as the character Reggie Rhodes, a murderer on death row who endured a "difficult childhood," according to USA Today.
Even with tons of movie and television appearances under his belt, the New York native doesn't have very much character acting experience, as he usually plays himself. Among his most noted stops on the big screen was the first installment of The Hangover, but he further showed more of his funny side playing former presidential candidate Herman Cain in a Funny or Die skit, last year.
Since blowing through his multi-million dollar fortune the 46-year-old has worked hard to rebuild his status with a bunch of projects, including a stint on Broadway. Last summer, Tyson debuted his one-man show, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, directed by Spike Lee. Upon its premiere the likes of 50 Cent, Kanye West, and veteran journalist Bryant Gumbel all came out to show their support.
No word yet on when his SVU episode will air, but it should be interesting.
