Chris Brown charged with assault in DC

Chris Brown was arrested early Sunday in Washington after a fight broke out near the W Hotel, police said, complicating an already snarled legal history for the Grammy Award-winning R&B singer.
Brown, 24, was charged with felony assault in an incident that started just before 4:30 a.m., D.C. police spokesman Paul Metcalf said Sunday morning. Chris Hollosy, 35, also was arrested on felony assault charges, Metcalf said. Police believe the two men were together during the incident but said they couldn't confirm any relationship between the suspects.
Brown and Hollosy were being held in police custody until Monday, Metcalf said.
A man was injured in the fight and reportedly taken to a hospital, police said, but they did not identify him or give details on his injuries. It was not clear whether the victim was taken by ambulance or another vehicle. He had been released from the hospital as of early Sunday afternoon, Metcalf said.

No Breaks SMH: Chris Brown Ordered To 1,000 Hours of Labor

Chris Brown may be the happiest man to have just been court ordered to perform 1,000 hours of community service. According to the Associated Press, Brown was ordered to perform graffiti removal, highway work and more as punishment for getting into a hit and run accident.

The victim of the hit and run withdrew all legal action against Brown and today (August 16th) prosecutors withdrew their legal pursuit to revoke Brown’s probation which stipulated he could not have any legal infractions.

Brown faced possible jail time if he was found guilty.

Health Scare?: Chris Brown Suffered A Seizure?

As far as what is known, besides a propensity for beef with fans, law enforcement and a recent revelation that retirement is imminent, Chris Brown is in good health. 

However, apparently the R&B crooner may have suffered a seizure last night at a Hollywood studio. 

 TMZ reports: The L.A. City Fire Dept. rushed to a Hollywood recording studio early Friday morning, after getting a 911 call that Chris Brown had a seizure ... TMZ has learned. 

The call came from Record Plant recording studios in Hollywood at 1:09 AM. When EMTs arrived ... we're told Chris refused treatment and also refused to be transported to the hospital. We do not know if it was indeed a seizure, but we've learned Chris did suffer from seizures as a child. Story developing... Earlier this week, Brown was booked and released from jail on charged related to a hit and run incident. He also took to Twitter to reveal that his next album, X, may be his last. 

Not Guilty? SMH: Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty to Hit-and-Run

Chris Brown pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to the charge of hit-and-run, stemming from a car accident back in May, TMZ reports.

Since the singer wasn't taken into custody on the day of the accident, he'll have to go to a police station to get booked for the crime and have another mugshot taken. He has until August 6th to get that taken care of.

Brown's next court date in the case is August 15th.

The singer has to appear in court for a separate probation violation in August stemming from the Rihanna assault case.

After a relatively quiet couple of months, Chris Brown is feeling the heat once again. An L.A. County judge revoked his probation in the Rihanna beating case on Monday, because of hit-and-run charges the singer received back in May.

Chris will have to attend a probation violation hearing in August, which may result in Breezy heading to the slammer. According to TMZ, Brown faces up to four years for the violation.

Chris Brown can't seem to escape problems with the law in L.A. The latest issue to come up has to do with his brawl with Frank Ocean outside of a recording studio in January.

Things seemed to have blown over after Frank decided not to press charges, but according to TMZ, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office is now considering filing charges against Breezy for battery.


Brown is still on probation for assaulting Rihanna in 2009. He is due in court today for a probation hearing and the fight with Ocean could come up because Chris was ordered to obey all laws. The singer is also being investigated for a recent hit-and-run.

It has been speculated for some time now that Chris Brown is affiliated with the Blood gang, and his recent tweet did nothing to shake those rumors. The "Fine China" singer sent out a message linking back to Ludacris' "Mad Fo" track, which features Breezy, Meek Mill, Swizz Beatz, and Pusha-T.

Chris wrote, "what they mad FO! On Piru," which references Piru Street in Compton, and the original set of the gang.

Back in 2012 Chris denied that he was part of the Bloods, tweeting "LOL!!! i'm no gangbanger! where im from we say cuz,blood, folk, woadie, homie, patna, its slang and ebonics! US KIDS USE THESE TERMS. chillout. [sic]"
