Watch Your Government: Iran Completely Cutting Internet Access for Citizens

As if things couldn't get worse for the poor folks living under the iron regime of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, they're about to lose their lifeline to the outside world.

On Sunday, the Iranian television network announced that Google and Gmail would be blocked until further notice. A government deputy minister announced that all citizens will be put on a "domestic internet network". Their reasoning? "We may get attacked by Zionist viruses."

Deputy communications and technology minister Ali Hakim-Javadi says the process has already begun: "In recent days, all governmental agencies and offices... have been connected to the national information network."
