Meltdown Official: Katt Williams Flubs Oakland Show, Angers Crowd & Gets Sued... All In One Swoop

Katt Williams threatened to cancel his show in Oakland, Calif. Friday (Nov. 16), and some fans are wishing he'd made good on his words. After being arrested and released on suspicion of battery for hitting a man in the head with a bottle, the comedian decided to go forward with his appearance at the Oracle Arena.

The show started 30 minutes late and according to fans, once he arrived, Williams threw a frisbee in the audience, told a few lame jokes, and got really angry for no real reason.

Video footage posted online shows him daring an audience member to fight, at which point the show's MC walks onstage and makes an awkward quip about Williams being high.
"He wasn't joking like he does in all found DVDs of his that I own," fan Christopher Douglass said. "I thought it was going to be a normal Katt Williams show."

An audience member asked Williams about being arrested early in the police, and he replied that he was released because the cops were fans. But Delvahn Moselly-Davis, the man allegedly attacked by the father of seven, take the situation very seriously. The 18-year-old filed a lawsuit against Williams Friday.

Davis asserts that he had a run-in with Williams at the Oakland Courtyard Marriott, which started out with the comedy star greeting fans, and ended with him taking a bottle to the dome.

  1. That guy went to jail for not paying a bus fare and failure to appear. Yeah he's a real piece of work.
