Crazy Developing Story: Bay Area Basketball Star Arrested for Murder of Lil Phat

Bay Area college basketball standout Descansae White was extradited from San Mateo County to Fulton County, Georgia to face charges related to the murder of Lil Phat.

White iss the lead scorer at San Francisco State University's men's basketball team, but his arrest has cast a dark shadow over his future in the sport.

Lil Phat was killed in Sandy Springs, Georgia on June 7, 2012, which was labeled as "an assassination" by Fulton County District Attorney Paul Houston. It has been reported that White, along with five other men, hired hit men to kill Phat over drug related issues.

White reportedly moved to Atlanta in 2009 to start a career in rap, but shortly moved back to the Bay Area to enroll in SFSU. He started on the school's basketball team for the entire 2012-2013 season.
