Although Queens New York native and rapper Mark’que (pronounced Mark-Key) has been off the scene since his solo and group deals with legendary producer DJ Clark Kent (Jay Z, Mariah Carey, Notorious B.I.G) and Daymond John of FUBU fame, his new mixtape 1000 is well worth the wait. The former basketball star and college grad took some time off to just enjoy life and travel the globe. Through those experiences, which led him back to his love of music, as well as a fresh deal with BMF entertainment, Mark’que is bringing originality and quality back to the game. With 1000’sSeptember 11th release date, on a less tragic scale, it parallels the pain but also the opportunity that develops through intense soul searching.
