He was originally paid for the 1st pair, but he believes without him, there would be Beats, and he wants Money on future sales as well

50 Cent Wins Ruling In Lawsuit Against WorldStarHipHop

50 Cent filed a copyright lawsuit against popular hip-hop website WorldStarHipHop back in 2009, and recently won a victory in court over the matter. In the lawsuit, the hip-hop mogul claimed that the website used his likeness, without permission, on its masthead, giving visitors the impression that he was affiliated with the company. This week, The Hollywood Reporter reports that a federal judge ruled in Fif's favor, denying claims that 50 Cent's image was plastered on WSHH in "fair use." "Defendants provide no authority to support the fair use of a celebrity's image or likeness," court documents said. "This is not surprising, as a celebrity's image, standing alone, only evokes that celebrity's persona. Jackson’s image does not, by itself, describe anything about Defendants' website." It's unclear what type of settlement will be imposed for damages, if any.

Say What!?!: 50 Cent Says He Lost $261K Lawsuit Because He's Black

TMZ reports:

Earlier this year 50 and company called Sleek Audio were embroiled in a bitter lawsuit. 50 claimed Sleek owed him over $261,000. Sleek said otherwise. The case went to arbitration -- a binding process in which an arbitrator picks the winner.

Bad news for 50, the arbitrator sided with Sleek (the final $$ judgement was kept under wraps).


But 50 refuses to gently into that good night ... and is taking the battle to federal court -- claiming the arbitration judge discriminated against him because he's black, associates with controversial African-American figures AND because he's a high profile rap artist.

Specifically ... 50 says the bias ran so deep the judge didn't allow him to cross-examine witnesses and refused to look at evidence pertaining to the case. Pretty bold claims.

He wants the award axed ASAP and is asking for a new hearing ... where he says he'll prove the judge was out to get him from the get go.

Sleek fired back too ... claiming 50's allegations of racism are a desperate attempt to avoid the arbitration decision and get it brought before an actual court.

The "Sleek By 50" headphones were cancelled back in 2011. Ferrari filed his lawsuit against Sleek in January.  According to 50, Sleek never living up to their bargain to have the rapper promote wireless headphones and he parted ways from the company while still being owed the $261K. Sleek contends that 50 prematurely ended the business relationship.

Not Funny Anymore: Miguel Leg Drop Victim May Have Suffered Brain Damage

The injuries suffered by the woman Miguel landed on when he unsuccessfully attempted to jump over a section of the crowd at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, may be way more serious than originally thought.

Miguel and Khyati Shah backstage after the accident, Vip Bhola, the attorney for Khyati Shah, tells TMZ that his client may have suffered brain damage as a result of the accident.

"Some of the difficulties she's experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury," Bhola said.

Bhola added that Billboard Music Awards officials only offered Shah an ice pack instead of having her taken to the hospital.  Once test results come back from a neurologist, Shah will decide whether she will file a lawsuit or not.

Endorsement Pains: Big K.R.I.T. Crown Royal Ad Causes $1 Million Lawsuit

Loved soul group The O'Jays are very unhappy about a new Crown Royal whiskey commercial which uses their most well known hit, "For The Love Of Money."

The group filed a lawsuit against Crown Royal for using the song, and claimed they were humiliated by the advertisement. 

The commercial features Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T. rapping over the O'Jays music, and two of the original members are having none of it. The singers called K.R.I.T. "a poser with limited ability to carry a tune" who performed a "self-aggrandizing childish rap."

The O'Jays are asking for more than a million dollars in damages.
