Mayweather will certainly be putting his 44-0 record up against a serious threat in his upcoming September 14th fight vs the young and rising Mexican star, Canelo Alvarez. The fight is scheduled to go down at the MGM Grand. Mayweather and Canelo both announced the news via Twitter.
Canelo is a very formidable opponent who is also undefeated with a record of 42-0-1. He recently unified the WBA and WBC super welterweight titles after he won a unanimous decision over the skilled Austin Trout.
This will surely be a huge financial gain for both fighters as they are currently two of the most famous boxers in the world.
Boxing fans shall see if the young Mexican bull will be able to dethrone Floyd, or if Floyd will once again prove his dominance over the competition on September 14th, 2013.
