Speaking Truth: Busta Rhymes Thinks Many Are Scared To Feature Lyrical Artists

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Busta Rhymes shared his opinion on the guest spot culture in Hip Hop. While some popular artists seem to be on everything, Busta explained why more lyrical rappers are often left out.

"There's one of two reasons to me why the same people appear on every song--one reason is either they're just the hottest dudes, and the other reason is," said Busta before pausing.

"It's interesting to me that Eminem isn't on a lot of people's sh*t. It's interesting to me that Nas isn't on a lot of people's sh*t. It's interesting to me that Jay-Z isn't on a lot of people's sh*t. A lot of the very dangerously lyrical motherf***ers. I think there's a fear factor that plays a role, because sometimes you really don't know if you're going to be happy with what you asked for--especially if you might get your a** whooped on your own f***ing record!"

Bout To Go Down!: Jay-Z & Raekwon In The Studio Workin!

This one will make the rap purists smile for sure. Jay-Z and Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon have been spotted in the studio together.

The Chef shared a photo of him and Hova in the lab and mugging for the camera on his Instagram. "Long time coming!!! Hov x chef ... Much luv to my dude Lenny S aka @kodaklens for making it happen!!! #ComingSoon.," read the caption.

The aforementioned Lenny S, the Roc's longtime A&R, took and shared the pic with the following message: "We workin on Real Rap shit over here. JAY x RAE #RocNation #Wu"

No word on where or how many songs these two cooked up. Jay-Z is surely crafting his next album while Rae has a new project in the works called F.I.L.A. (Fly International Luxurious Art), too. The latter just dropped a couple of well received tracks; "Son Of Sam" and "All About You," featuring Estelle.

Say What!?: Treach Fires Vin Rock From Naughty By Nature?

Why must so many rap groups inevitable break. It seems like 90's Hip-Hop powerhouse group Naughy By Nature has broken up, sort of, at least according to one member.

Composed of rappers Treach and Vin Rock along with producer/DJ Kay Gee, one of the New Jersey based group's biggest hits was "O.P.P." as well as "Uptown Anthem" and "Hip-Hop Hooray." However, last night Treach took to Twitter to air out some of the group's internal strife publicly and hand out a pink slip in the process.

"Vinnie from NAUGHTY BY NATURE is Officially FIRED!! Anything he does besides shows til Sept is Frugazy!! F-ck him & the Ground he Walks!!," tweeted the reputed rapper.

He added, "Anybody that f-cks with that B-tch @ss Ni--a Don't F-ck with Me!!"

Well, that's going to make any aforementioned shows hella awkward.

No word from Vinny or Kay Gee, yet. In the past, the group broke up after fall out between Kay Gee and Treach that was reportedly over finances. The group reunited in 2006, three years after it had disbanded. Late last year, the group was at the center of a lawsuit involving Sugar Hill Music over a sample used on "Uptown Anthem" from the Juice soundtrack.

Naughty By Nature's last proper album was 2011's Anthem Inc.

Hip Hop Immortalized: Brooklyn Park Renamed In Honor Of Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch

May 4 marked the one-year anniversary of the passing of legendary Beastie Boys' frontman Adam "MCA" Yauch. To honor his memory, Brooklyn's Palmetto Playground will officially be renamed Adam Yauch Park.

MTV reports that the New York City Department of Parks announced the news along with a memorial that occurred earlier today. Guests included Yauch's fellow Beastie Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz, along with other friends and family members of the late MC.

Being a Brooklynite, Yauch was raised in Palmetto Playground, even learning how to ride his bicycle there.

The park now includes a whole selection of amenities including a garden, a dog run, and a selection of basketball courts. An official statement was released regarding the memorial: "Adam Yauch grew up in Brooklyn Heights, on State Street, and learned to ride a bicycle in the park that will now bear his name." This news arrives just as the remaining Beastie Boys announced the 2015 release of their memoir.

Beastie Boys fans and the rest of the music community were devastated by the loss of Adam Yauch last year due to cancer. He was not only an advocate of music and social change, but a devout New Yorker who did whatever he could to help his stomping grounds. A park in his name is undoubtedly well deserved.
