Speaking Truth: Busta Rhymes Thinks Many Are Scared To Feature Lyrical Artists

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Busta Rhymes shared his opinion on the guest spot culture in Hip Hop. While some popular artists seem to be on everything, Busta explained why more lyrical rappers are often left out.

"There's one of two reasons to me why the same people appear on every song--one reason is either they're just the hottest dudes, and the other reason is," said Busta before pausing.

"It's interesting to me that Eminem isn't on a lot of people's sh*t. It's interesting to me that Nas isn't on a lot of people's sh*t. It's interesting to me that Jay-Z isn't on a lot of people's sh*t. A lot of the very dangerously lyrical motherf***ers. I think there's a fear factor that plays a role, because sometimes you really don't know if you're going to be happy with what you asked for--especially if you might get your a** whooped on your own f***ing record!"

HILARIOUS!: We Are Young Money Pt. 4 (Rick Ross' New Shoes)

Mannie Fresh Speakin' Up!: "It's Like Doing A Jackson 5 Album W/Boyz II Men"

Mannie Fresh touched base with Sway during today's MTV RapFix Live. Mannie was an original member of the Big Tymers along with Birdman. There's been talk of a new Big Tymers project with Lil Wayne and Drake. Birdman said recently that Mannie would not be included.

Mannie offered his opinion on the situation.

"I don't bash Cash Money, Birdman, or none of them. It's really on, I'm just striving on just getting what I deserve, you know, what I put in.

So maybe that's what [Birdman's] feelings is," Mannie said. "Honestly I think Drake is a great artist, I think Wayne is a great artist, but they not the Big Tymers. It's kind of like doing a Jackson 5 album with Boyz II Men. Two different eras.Great artists, but Boys II Men not the Jackson 5. I think the people have spoken. You can go on any blog and read the comments"

DAMN!: All Four American Idol Judges Given the Boot

According to The Wrap, none of the four 'American Idol' judges will be asked to return next season. Longtime producer Nigel Lythgoe is also expected to be fired.

“All four are gone,” the insider told TheWrap. “They feel they’ve lost their core audience and they want it back.”

In an effort to attract younger viewers, Fox is set to make major changes to the show, including an entirely new judging panel. All four current judges have options to return for another season, but Fox won't be picking them up, according to the insider, who said, "No more big checks for divas."

Fox's major restructuring was spurred by the show's plummeting viewership. Its ratings are already down 22 percent this season and it hit a series low for ratings last Thursday, attracting only 11 million viewers. This is a major problem during May Sweeps, where ratings numbers are used to calculate advertising rates.

The network has also resolved to stop paying the over-the-top salaries it's been handing out to its judges, i.e. Carey's reported $18 million package, Minaj's $12 million deal, and former judge Lopez's $15 million salary.

Time will tell if Fox can save 'American Idol.'

So It's Big Tymers How?: Birdman Says Mannie Fresh Will Not Be On The New Big Tymers LP

By now we all know that we can expect a new Big Tymers LP with Drake in the near future. However one question still remains: Will Mannie Fresh be included?

Well today that question was answered when YMCMB was featured on a special episode of "RapFix Live" in Miami this Wednesday.

When asked whether Fresh would be involved, Birdman replied with a "No. Nah. Not at all."

The new Big Tymers now will only include Stunna, Lil Wayne, and Drake.

Well Damn!: Study Shows That Lil Wayne Has The Dumbest Fans

Would you peg Lil Wayne fans for being, overall, dumb? According to a recent study done by Facebook, that's apparently the case.

The study gathered data from students across the country and ended up showing that Lil Wayne's fans boasted the lowest SAT scores of any other artist tested. Weezy's fans had an average SAT score of 876, while other acts such as Radiohead, Counting Crows, and Sufjan Stevens rounded out at about 1200.

Naturally, the smartest fans were those of classical music, specifically Beethoven. Those fans had an average SAT score of 1376. Interestingly enough, those same fans were also fond of Jay-Z and Eminem, who boast unique flows and rhythms exciting for those who study classical music.

And Another One: Mountain Dew Drops Lil Wayne Over Offensive Emmett Till Lyrics

Lil Wayne has been dropped by Mountain Dew for his offensive lyrics about Emmett Till in the song "Karate Chop" by Future, according to TMZ.

"Pop a lot of pain pills, 'bout to put rims on my skateboard wheels. Beat that p*ssy up like Emmett Till," rapped in the song, which leaked onto the internet in February.

The Till family, angered by the lyrics and lack of an apology recently said they would go after his endorsement deal with the company and urged fans not to attend his upcoming tour.  Wayne wrote a letter apologizing soon after the family announced it's intentions, but it was too little too late.  Airickca Gordon-Taylor -- Executive Director, Mamie Till Mobley Memorial Foundation and Till Family Representative said the family did not view Wayne's letter as a formal apology.

"While it’s commendable that he has vowed to respect the legacy of Emmett Till and his memory to ‘not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in his music,' this statement falls short of an apology, as none is mentioned," Gordon-Taylor told TMZ.

Emmett was 14-years old when he was brutally murdered and thrown in a river in Mississippi by two white men after whistling at one of their wives.  Roy Bryant and .J. W. Milam were both acquitted of his murder.

Mountain Dew's parent company Pepsico issued a statement today stating that Wayne's “offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand.”

Breaking News!: Lil' Wayne Hospitalized For Another Seizure

Lil Wayne was hospitalized again for a seizure TMZ has learned.

Sources close to Wayne tell TMZ ... the rapper was taken to Cedars-Sinai in L.A. late Tuesday night by his bodyguards. He suffered a single seizure and was treated and released early this morning.

As first reported, 30-year-old Lil Wayne spent a week at Cedars back in March after suffering multiple severe seizures that nearly killed him. He spent 6 days in ICU.

Wayne subsequently went on the radio and explained he's an epileptic, and has been suffering from seizures since he was a kid.

Apology Delivered: Lil Wayne Finally Apologizes To Emmett Till's Family

This took long enough. Lil Wayne has penned a letter of apology to Emmett Till's family over the use of the late 14-year-old's name in a vile lyric on his verse from Future's “Karate Chop (Remix).”

In said song, Weezy raps, “Beat the pu--y up like Emmett Till,” which angered the family and many aware of the significance of Till's death to the Civil Rights Movement.

Besides mentioning that he understands the pain the family feels since he is a father himself, the YMCMB rapper acknowledges Till's cultural significance in his letter. “I have tremendous respect for those who paved the way for the liberty and opportunities that African-Americans currently enjoy,” reads the letter. “As a business owner who employs several African-American employees and gives philanthropically to organizations that help youth to pursue their dreams my ultimate intention is to uplift rather than degrade our community.”

Wayen's formal apology comes after the family vowed to pressure Mountain Dew to drop Tunechi as a spokesman. Till's family wrote an open letter to Wayne back in February shortly after the song was first heard. In his letter, the “No Worries” rapper also vows to never perform the song. Coincidentally, or not, Mountain Dew just announced a deal with Complex Media to launch a new website.

Over Halle Berry?: Was Nicki Minaj In The Running To Play Storm In New X-Men Film?

It's been almost 7 years since her last appearance in an X-Men movie, but Halle Berry is still the only Storm. The 46-year-old pregnant actress is slated to play the role of Storm in the upcoming "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" movie, though another prominent star reportedly gave her a run for her money.

Apparently, Nicki Minaj was in contention for the role of Storm, but evidently she didn't exactly wow the casting crew. WOuld you have rather seen a younger star like Minaj in the role, or is Halle still perfectly fine?
