Chris Brown Says Jail Is “The Worst Experience Of His Life”

Chris Brown isn't taking well to jail, which TMZ says has scared him straight. A source tells the website that the singer told them (via phone) that he feels like "a caged animal," and furthermore, called it "the worst experience of my life." So far, Brown has been spending his time behind bars working out and writing music. He's telling people on the phone, "I'll never f*ck up again." Breezy is expected to remain jailed until April 23rd, when an L.A. judge will hold a probation hearing ... where he could be in big trouble. The judge wants to wait until a jury decides if he's guilty of criminal assault in an unrelated case in Washington D.C. That trial is set for April 17. However, his camp is reportedly negotiating a pay off with the alleged DC assault victim, who would decline to puruse the case. Young Jeezy ARRESTED for False Imprisonment, Battery, Terroristic Threats

Rapper Young Jeezy was arrested in Atlanta for battery, false imprisonment, and making terroristic threats against his own son ... TMZ has learned.

According to the charging documents -- obtained by TMZ -- Jeezy got into a fight with his son in a bathroom and he threw his son into the glass shower door, causing the son to hit his head. Then Jeezy allegedly punched him in the face, dragged him into the bedroom, threw him on the bed and pummeled him.

According to the incident report, Jeezy's son attempted to escape but the rapper's bodyguard blocked the stairwell.

The docs go on -- claiming Jeezy subsequently choked his son and said, "I will kill you." According to police docs, Jeezy's son claims his dad said, "I will put a bullet in your head right now," adding, "If I could get away with it, I would kill you." The incident allegedly occurred in Sept., 2012.

Struggle Is Real: Lauryn Hill Issues Statement, Reveals Label Deal With Sony

Lauryn Hill has been in the news plenty lately thanks to a pending sentence for tax evasion, which inadvertently revealed that she has a new record deal with Sony Music. Ms. Hill has issued a statement clarifying her new venture (it's a label deal) that also partly comments on her legal and financial troubles, as well as her future plans.

Part of Hill's self-imposed exile from the music industry was her disdain from its practices, which she has also pointed to as an explanation for not paying her taxes. But the irony getting back down with the machine, as well as earning a label millions upon millions of dollars with her only getting a relatively small bit of that loot, is not lost on her.

"Only a completely complicated set of traps, manipulations, and inequitable business arrangements could put someone who has accomplished the things that I have, financially in need of anything," she wrote.  Hill is due back in front of the judge to find out her sentence on May 6. She is hoping for probation.

Read her full statement, which she dropped via Tumblr, below:

It has been reported that I signed a new record deal, and that I did this to pay taxes. Yes, I have recently entered into an agreement with Sony Worldwide Entertainment, to launch a new label, on which my new music will be released. And yes, I am working on new music.

I've remained silent, after an extensive healing process. This has been a 10+ year battle, for a long time played out behind closed doors, but now in front of the public eye. This is an old conflict between art and commerce… free minds, and minds that are perhaps overly tethered to structure. This is about inequity, and the resulting disenfranchisement caused by it. I've been fighting for existential and economic freedom, which means the freedom to create and live without someone threatening, controlling, and/or manipulating the art and the artist, by tying the purse strings.

It took years for me to get out of the ‘parasitic' dynamic of my youth, and into a deal that better reflects my true contribution as an artist, and (purportedly) gives me the control necessary to create a paradigm suitable for my needs. I have been working towards this for a long time, not just because of my current legal situation, but because I am an artist, I love to create, and I need the proper platform to do so.

The nature of my new business venture, as well as the dollar amount reported, was inaccurate, only a portion of the overall deal. Keep in mind, my past recordings have sold over 50,000,000 units worldwide, earning the label a tremendous amount of money (a fraction of which actually came to me).

Only a completely complicated set of traps, manipulations, and inequitable business arrangements could put someone who has accomplished the things that I have, financially in need of anything. I am one artist who finds value in openly discussing the dynamics within this industry that force artists to compromise or distort themselves and what they do, rather than allowing them to make the music that people need. There are volumes that could (and will) be said.

Planned?: Gucci Mane & Young Scooter Are Cellmates In Atlanta Jail

For the record, jail cells are not where rappers typically connect, politic, ditto. However, it turns out that veteran Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane and up and comer Young Scooter are currently sharing the very same jail cell.

MTV RapFix reports that the two trap rappers are literally cellmates at the Dekalb County Jail. LaFlare was arrested on April 12, just a day after being released on $75,000 bond after being charged with assaulting a soldier with a champagne bottle in an ATL club.

The "Lemonade" rapper was picked up again for an unrelated probation violation.

As for Young Scooter, born Kenneth Edward Bailey, the "Colombia" rapper, who is affiliated with Brick Squad and Freebandz, was arrested for a probation violation on April 8. Allegedly, he was caught driving with a suspended license.

Earlier this year, Gucci tapped Scooter to link up with him and drop the Free Bricks 2 mixtape. Scooter's second single, "Pass Around," features Wale and Gucci Mane. There is no word on when either incarcerated artist will be released from the bing. Last we heard, Scooter's Jugg House album was set to drop in July.

Considering the circumstances, you can certainly expect more collaborations from these two.
